After facing criticism for ‘customization’ privacy settings of Facebook users, Facebook began to tighten security on its site and has announced new features for privacy in a simple configuration. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, in a blog posting on the official Facebook blog, said the new privacy controls will make changes much easier. These changes will be introduced in the coming weeks. Facebook has tightened security after facing criticism from users.
Zuckerberg, in a blog posting says that the new privacy settings will focus on three things: a single control for user content, the control is stronger than the basic information about the user and easy to turn off the control application. First, users get a simple control panel that would be able to choose who can view published content. Please note that these new privacy settings will be introduced starting next week.
• simple controls to give permission for everything published by users on Facebook and will be valid for the next posting.
• It is easier to determine who can find you on Facebook and what details will be visible to them.
• Arrangements for not wearing sharing Friend List and pages that users preferred
• It is easier to turn off the Facebook platform and features such as Instant Personalization and rapid provision of information to a third party site.
This new control allows users to more easily define privacy settings as they wish, but to Instant Personalization will continue to be defined as ‘active’ by default.
